2017 News

2017 was a busy year! A very brief year in review!

February- CV Dressage expanded to our new facility in Wake Forest. The new farm has 3 arenas, including one INDOOR arena, 15 stalls, heated and air conditioned tack room, and viewing room. I am excited to grow and continue to work out of this amazing facility.

April- Courtney sold her 6 year old Hanoverian by Donar Weiss GGF to be a hunter. He is loving his new job and doing well.

May- CV Dressage got in several new sales horses from Blue Goose Farm Andalusians. One of the siblings, the 6 year old half Andalusian, sold in 3 hours!! I'm not sure who is luckier, him or his new mom!

June- Courtney aquired her new show mount, Jazzman. Jack is a 7 year old Friesian/Arabian gelding that is schooling components of the PSG.

August- Libby Head/Positive Pulse PEMF joined the CV Dressage Sponsor team!

Courtney also purchased her 3 year old, Duende!

September- Courtney earned her USDF Bronze Medal aboard Jazzman, with several scores above 70% at Third level! Her students also had a GREAT show with several good rides!

October- Coutney represented CV Dressage and NC at the CBLM Championships in Virginia where they placed 4th in the open division at Third Level.

December- Takt Saddlery joined the CV Dressage Sponsor Team!

The last gelding of the herd from Blue Goose Farm, Luchador, was sold to a lovely rider in Virginia!

Courtney was also invited to the Boeringer-Ingelheim Trainers Summit in Ashville, where she was able to sit in on lectures regarding marketing, equine law, joint health in the performance horse, ulcers, and equine drugs.

Throughout the year:

The CV Dressage show team did a fantastic job with several students earning their highest scores yet!

We also welcomed several new boarders throughout the year and now  have a full barn!

WE CAN'T WAIT UNTIL 2018!

Capital Dressage Classic May 30/31, 2015

We had a fantastic show weekend at the Capital Dressage Classic in Raleigh. I showed a 5 year old young horse, Verboten, owned by Mary DeCoursey, in Training Level 1/2 and the Materiale for 4-5 year old colts. Verboten was very well loved by all of the judges this weekend and recieved scores that were hard to beat. This was Danes first under saddle rated show, and he handled the atmosphere like a seasoned show horse, with only a few "baby" moments. The entire weekend was a wonderful learning experience for him and a good positive first outing. We recieved a score of 63.478% in Training 1 to kick of the weekend, placing us in 2nd. We came back stronger than before to score a 71.154% in Training 2 under the same judge with a 3rd place finish! Verboten came away with a 75% and a win in his Materiale class, recieving a 7.5 for all gaits. On Sunday, his game face was on. He was extremely rideable and it showed in his scores. We recieved a score of 74.783% in Training 1, placing 2nd, and a 72.692% in Training 2, placing 3rd. Some other worthy brag moments include the multiple 8's he recieved for gaits, impulsion, submission, and rider position, as well as the numerous 8's and 9's! in the tests themselves!!!! I could not be happier with this phenomenal young horse, who easily held his own against other young horses and their professional riders. Huge congratulations to rider Courtney Vesel and owner Mary DeCoursey!

Fenridge Farm May 2015
